The third season of ''The X Factor Australia'' was broadcast on the Seven Network. It premiered on 29 August 2011 and ended on 22 November 2011. Each category was mentored by one of the show's four judges, Guy Sebastian, Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Mel B.〔 Sebastian was given the Under 25 Boys, Mel B mentored the Under 25 Girls,〔 Bassingthwaighte had the Over 25s and Keating mentored the Groups. Reece Mastin was declared the winner, with Sebastian emerging as the winning mentor.〔
